November Pinkfresh Challenge: Holiday Spirit

This is one of three cards I’m entering in the November 2024 Pinkfresh Challenge. I chose to use the challenge palette. It is Pinkfresh Waterfall, Begonia, Mimosa, Citron & Storm. These are not exactly traditional holiday colors. To make it a little more holiday-ish, I used Gold embossing powder for Citron.

On the other hand, the products I’m using are very holiday-themed. That’s because I created these cards for a holiday-themed giveaway. It was interesting to try and create something that says “holiday” with this palette. At least the sentiments are appropriate for the season. 😂

Holiday Spirit Card

I heat embossed the images and sentiment in Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder. Then I used the layering stencils with the challenge colors. I cut out the images and sentiment with the coordinating die. Next I stacked Accent Opaque behind the die cuts.

Background

For my background I stenciled Holiday Foliage with Warm Buff, Doe and Lunar Paste in Cookie Dough. When the Lunar Paste had dried, I cut down the background to 3 ¾” by 5” and glued it to a white card base.

Assembly

I placed the glass in the bottom left corner on some foam tape. There was leftover greenery from the Holiday Bauble card, so I ink blended a little Waterfall all over it and glued it down in the bottom right corner, with the stems under the glass. Then I layered the orange slice on top.

I glued the tiny bauble onto the background in the top right corner and placed the sentiment partly over it on foam tape.

To finish up the card, I added Glossy Accents to the berries. Once that was dry, I scattered some Pinkfresh Pearls in Gold, like bubbles, across the card.
