November Pinkfresh Challenge: Holiday Gifts
This is one of three cards I’m entering in the November 2024 Pinkfresh Challenge. I chose to use the challenge palette. It is Pinkfresh Waterfall, Begonia, Mimosa, Citron & Storm. These are not exactly traditional holiday colors. To make it a little more holiday-ish, I used Gold embossing powder for Citron.
On the other hand, the products I’m using are very holiday-themed. That’s because I created these cards for a holiday-themed giveaway. It was interesting to try and create something that says “holiday” with this palette. At least the sentiments are appropriate for the season. 😂
Holiday Gifts
I heat embossed the images twice and the sentiment in Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder. Then I used the layering stencils with the challenge colors. I cut out the images and the sentiment with the coordinating die. Next I stacked Accent Opaque behind the die cuts.
Next I die cut and stenciled the faux envelope in Begonia. I arranged the presents and greenery coming out of the envelope more or less following the image on the packaging.
Background
Ink blended over Winter Foliage stencils using the three lightest colors from the Pinkfresh Urban Raincoat Color Family. Then I used the envelope stencil from Holiday Gifts to extend the frame in Begonia ink.
Assembly
I placed the envelope with gifts on foam tape, so that it extends the stencils frame. Then I added the sentiment with foam tape on top of the envelope and nestled some greenery around it.
To finish up the card, I added Glossy Accents to the berries. Once that was dry, I scattered some Pinkfresh Pearls in Gold across the card to draw the eye to the sentiment.
