Valentines Crunch Time
Valentine’s Day is the second most popular card-sending holiday, so now it’s crunch time. I’m all stocked up on my personal favorite, the peach color blocked cards. I also have plenty of the vintage Sweet Sentiments cards with the gold text.
I just got an order for my best selling moose Valentines out the door. That’s a huge relief because today did not go as I planned. First thing this morning I discovered that I had no hot water. 🥶
Fortunately, it just so happened that I’m having work done on my roof this week. The roofer was super helpful and saved me a ton of money. He’s from TNT Roofing, in case you need a new roof and you’re local to the South Bay.
The plumbers are out getting a new water heater for me right now. 💸💸💸 Looking forward to taking a shower this afternoon.
Yesterday I bought ads from Pinterest for the moose card. It’s going to be interesting to see the ROI on that. I’m also advertising in RL. I put a sign up in my window and I’m displaying two of my Valentines cards.
I want to try putting ads on Facebook and Etsy as well, but I’m going to give Pinterest a chance first.
When I’m done with lunch, I need to make more moose cards. I think it sells best for two reasons:
It has a character on it
It features a pun
What I don’t know is if it’s one or the other, or maybe a bit of both. I’m going to test that with other cards over the next couple of months. I’m not usually into what we in the biz call “critters.” But if that’s what sells, I can do that. In fact I just bought a funny hipster bunny stamp from SimonSaysStamp.com. Looking forward to creating funny and cute springtime cards with a nerdy rabbit.
