What’s in a name?
I originally fell in love with valley oaks in the early days of the dot.com boom. So dedicated to the species was I, that I got a tattoo of a leaf. Some twenty years later it was pretty faded. Instead of just renewing the tattoo, I also enlarged it with more leaves. It looks a lot fuller now.
A lot of crafty businesses have “studio” or “design” or something similar in their names. I was trying to avoid that, so I added the material I work in instead. Obviously I checked for domain names before committing. Old habits die hard.
Thus Valley Oak Paper was born.
