Cheerful Kitty
My grey kitty is from Bibi Cameron’s Cheerful Kittens Die Set by Spellbinders. You can find an introduction to the die set in a previous post.
-
Cozy Sheep
For the background I used the July Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders. It’s called Frosted Stitch.
-
Nautical Motifs
My idea for this card was to create a faux dip dyed background and then BetterPress over it with a nautical motif.
-
Mariner’s Weave
Spellbinders June Clubs are all about the ocean and sea. The Embossing Folder of the Month is called Mariner’s Weave. It makes me think of fancy Nordic sweaters with stitches going in different directions.
-
Abstract Thinking
Abstract Study creates a large-scale pattern that adds interest, without stealing the show. I can see using this one for many of embossing folder techniques.
-
Spring Days
This is the last card in this series of cards using the April BetterPress Kit, Post Edge Expression, and the Field Notes 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders.
-
Embossing Folder Friend
For the sentiment I used the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for August 2024. I like the chunky font and that it has shadow dies for all the words.
-
Blue Note
I dry embossed the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder Field Notes several times with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide.
-
Wonderful Postage
I created the white outline by using the postage stamp outline from the Spellbinders April 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month.
-
Mixed Media Smile
First I placed the letter from the Spellbinders April 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month in the top right corner, inked it up with Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail in Silver.
-
Sparkling Santa
This is the second time I’m using Sizzix Tim Holtz Santa Greetings Die Set. This time I went high contrast with it.
-
More Gorgeous You
First I popped the eye shadow palette up on foam tape at the bottom of the card. Then I aligned the mascara with it on the left and popped it up with more foam tape.
-
Wedding Copperplate
In this card, the beautiful calligraphy by Paul Antonio takes center stage. I foiled the BetterPress Plate ‘On Your Wedding Day’ in pale blue.
-
Gorgeous You
This is such a fun, girly die set! It’s called Spellbinders Gorgeous You Makeup and it’s part of the Gorgeous You Collection.
-
Flower Cart
I selected palette 120 from the Color Cube Volume 1 and used the matching Ohuhu Alcohol Markers to color my white cardstock.
-
Hextra Special Friend
I’m starting today’s card by stamping this cute Witchcrafting scene from Trinity Stamps. It’s meant for Halloween, but I’m going to color it as a Galentine’s card.
-
Snowdrop Note
If this card looks familiar, you’d be right. The snowdrop panel is from December.
-
Snowdrop Shaker
The snowdrop plate is part of the January Set of Spellbinders Florals Through the Year Collection. So I created a snow-themed shaker card with it.
-
Chrysanthemum Cards
I associate chrysanthemums with cemeteries. So it was natural to use the Chrysanthemum Press Plates for sympathy cards.
-
A Yeti Christmas
I’m now designing for Spellbinders. You know I love their products, so it’s a great fit for me!
-
Felt Owl Friend
Felt on cards seems to be having a moment. I wanted to use it on an upcoming project, so this is a practice card.
-
A Monster Study in Teal
I’m still trying to reclaim Halloween tropes from the overdone, traditionally-discordant colors. Halloween cards can be tasteful, really!
-
For the Love of Paisley
Paisley is my hands-down favorite abstract pattern! So of course I needed the Glimmer Kit of the Month for June ‘22.
-
Dainty Ghost
I glued the first vellum piece to the back of the pattern paper slightly offset, so it looks fuller. Next I glued the second vellum piece offset in the other direction to the back.
