Yeti Anniversary

I created a felt yeti with Rocky, the Dancin’ Yeti for his launch. But I also wanted to color him with Distress Watercolor Pencils. This time I created a friend for him. 💗

I cut all the parts out of watercolor paper and colored one yeti in blue tones and one in coral. The blue yeti makes use of the horns, the beanie and the scarf. The warm toned yeti wears fuzzy ear muffs with a bow and holds a flower in her paw. The two yetis hold paws.

This time I used the dancing feature. It’s not hard at all. You just place a tall foam square in the hole in the leg die cut. Obviously don’t glue down the legs. 😂

I adhered the yeti arms straight to the background. But the torso has to be popped up on the same type of foam square as the legs. This makes for a pretty bulky card. Definitely needs to be hand delivered or posted in a bubble mailer.

The sentiment comes from Spellbinders Colorful Expressions Sentiments. I did some partial die cutting of the shadow layer for “love you.” On the in side I placed “Happy Anniversary” foiled in peach from the You Are Everything BetterPress Plate and Die.

The background is ink blended with Distress Oxides in the same colors as the yetis. The stencil is called Cardinal Birch Bliss from Kat Scrappiness.

As a finishing touch I added Glossy Accents to the yetis’ eyes and the flower.
