Welcome to
Valley Oak Paper
Green Craftmas
I created three cards for a recycling-themed Instagram challenge. First I used my Pinkfresh Solid Hot Foil Plate with all the cool-toned leftover foil to make my own foiled cardstock. This time I foiled on cardstock colors that matches the foil.
Simple Mother’s Day Card
This Mother’s Day card is super simple yet impressive. It’s only using one die, Hero Arts Mother’s Day Window Die. A lot of the shine comes from the holographic background inside the shaker window.
Foiling Textured Paper
The best cardstock for hot foiling is the smoothest. But you can make your own smooth cardstock in a few simple steps.
Happy Holiday Bears
This is a relatively simple holiday card that would be easy to mass produce in a couple of evenings.
Business planning
I’ve started my giveaways. Here’s the first announcement post. You have until Sunday to comment to win.

August Priorities
Now that I’ve done the early August flea market, it’s time to look at my priorities for the rest of the month. The next De Anza Flea Market is on September 2nd.
Affiliate Programs
The way affiliate programs work is that if you as a shopper click on an affiliate link, your browser saves a cookie. If you buy anything from the affiliate site within the referral window, the affiliate (blogger) gets a percentage of the sale as commission. The length of the referral window differs from merchant to merchant, but 1-3 months is common.
Character Test
But for now I’m going to focus 100% on Valley Oak Paper. I even updated my LinkedIn Profile to reflect that.
