Craftoween 2025

These are the cards I created using the Spellbinders 2025 Craftoween Box. Most of the cardstock came from my Box of Backgrounds or my scraps folders. So I don’t always know how I created them.

🧿 Visual product list

1. Fangtastic Night

The first die set in the Spellbinders Craftoween 2025 box contains 4 dies that create a vampire with a cape.

I cut the base from black cardstock, the face from brushed silver and the rest from Hammermill cardstock. I colored the sweater and tongue with my Ohuhu markers. When I had assembled my vampire, I popped him up on foam tape. Finally I added some Ranger Stickles in Star Dust to his fangs.

Cat

The cat is from Day 4. I cut her from brushed silver cardstock and added some black cardstock behind the eyes. After I had placed her on the frame, I added Ranger Glossy Accents to her eyes.

Frame & Background

The embroidery hoop frame is from the Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month for April 2024. It’s called Stitched Wall Hanging. I cut it from Recollections Silver Holographic Cardstock and Accent Opaque. Then I added foam tape to the back. The flowers are also from this die set.

The background is an old Simon Hurley stamp called Water Marble. I heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Clear. The red color is from Distress Mica Sprays, probably in the color Peppermint Stick.

Sentiment

All the sentiments are from the stamp set included in the Craftoween box. I heat embossed it with Distress Embossing Glaze in Lumberjack Plaid and cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Flower Cart Die Set.

2. Mysterious

The die set for day 2 contains 8 dies that create a raven wearing a monocle, bowtie and top hat, while standing on a skull. I die cut the raven from black and silver holographic cardstock. For the accessories I used purple metallic cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones.

For the background I used Spellbinders Pressed Lace Border negative-foiled with Spellbinders Glimmer Foil in Lavender Petal.

The sentiment is heat embossed in Distress Embossing Glaze in Wilted Violet. Then I cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Flower Cart Die Set.

3. Trick or Treat

For day 3, we got a poison bottle. The background is a print created with an old damask embossing folder inked up with Distress Oxides in Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. I created the bottle out of Accent Opaque cardstock and Distress Mica Spray in Holly Branch, Spellbinders Brushed Silver Cardstock and turquoise metallic cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Distress Embossing Glaze in Salty Ocean and cut it with the smallest rectangle die from the Spellbinders Essential Shapes Die & Hot Foil Bundle.

Finally I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the skull and crossbones as well as the flowers.

4. A Piz-za You

The die set for Day 4 includes many of my favorite dies from the Craftoween box. The ghost is very simple and super cute. Then there’s the cat, that shows up in many of my cards from the box. Then there’s the little banner and a jack o’lantern that I didn’t end up using.

The ghost consists of two layers. I constructed them out of grey and brushed silver cardstock. The cat is black with silver holographic cardstock for the eyes. The piece of pizza is surprisingly complex with three separate layers. I made it out of Accent Opaque sprayed with Distress Mica Spray in Jack-O-Lantern. The banner I made out of black cardstock and more Jack-O-Lantern cardstock.

The background is a clear emboss resist created with a Hero Arts background stamp called Novel Prose. I think the color is from some Lindy’s Gang powders.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder from Ranger and cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Flower Cart Die Set.

5. Creepin’ It Real

The Day 5 die set consists of 5 dies that create a spider wearing a top hat. I die cut two spiders from photo paper printed with a mottled green texture. The bow tie and monocle are from Day 2. I cut the accessories from cardstock foiled with Spellbinders Lavender Petal Glimmer Hot Foil and Recollections Silver Holographic Foil Cardstock.

The cat is from Day 4. I cut her from black cardstock and added some teal foil cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones behind the eyes.

The background is BetterPressed with the Spellbinders Spiderweb Background Press Plate in Black. I used the teal foil cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones for the frame.

The sentiment is heat embossed in Distress Embossing Glaze in Wilted Violet and cut it with the smallest rectangle die from the Spellbinders Essential Shapes Die & Hot Foil Bundle.

6. Bone-Rattling

For day 6 we got a die set with 15 dies! Together they create a little trick-or-treater dressed as a skeleton with a witch’s hat. He’s wielding a broom and a cauldron too. I created him out of grey and silver holographic cardstock. I die cut the cauldron from black cardstock and the broom bristles from cardstock sprayed with Distress Mica Spray. The purple is from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones.

For the kitty from Day 4, I used Recollections Silver Holographic Cardstock and the same cardstock as the frame for the eyes.

The background uses a Spellbinders 2D folder called Floral. It’s very old but still in stock and going strong! I added white pigment ink to the raised areas and embossed it on black cardstock.

I heat embossed the sentiment in Distress Embossing Glaze in Prize Ribbon and cut it with the smallest rectangle die from the Spellbinders Essential Shapes Die & Hot Foil Bundle.

7. Magic & Mischief

There are 7 dies in the Day 7 die set. It creates a stack of two hardcover books and two burning candles. A sentiment banner that reads “Spellbound” is also included, although I didn’t use it.

I created the books, candles and cat from various scraps, including some that were created using Distress Mica Sprays. When I had assembled the card, I added green glitter glue to the two candles in the center.

For the background I used Kat Scrappiness Glitter Mousse in Black through a Kat Scrappiness stencil called Hats & Bats.

The sentiment is heat-embossed in Twisted Citron Distress Embossing Glaze. The die was part of Jaycee Gaspar’s Wild Joker Die Set.

8. Spooky Sips

For day 11 we got an 11-piece die set that creates a skull mug with straws and other accessories. I kept the colors in greyscale with red foil accents.

This is the second background that uses Simon Hurley old background stamp called Water Marble. I heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Clear. The red color is from Distress Mica Sprays, probably in the color Peppermint Stick.

I heat embossed the sentiment in Distress Embossing Glaze Lumberjack Plaid and cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Flower Cart Die Set.

9. Monstrously Fun

For day 9, we got a die set with 6 dies that creates a one-eyed monster with accessories. I die cut the body from watercolor paper that had been colored with a Distress Watercolor Pencil in Villainous Potion. His horns, wing and tail are in grey and silver holographic cardstock. He’s holding a one-eyed trit-or-treat bucket in orange and black.

A black cat with orange eyes is running toward the sentiment that’s heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Silver.

The background was created using a Sizzix 3D embossing folder designed by Jess Scott. It’s called Half Mandala.

I used light grey foil cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Pastels for the frame.

10. Stay Spooky

For day 10 we got a 7-piece die set that creates a very large flower with a skull at its center. The skull is wearing flower-shaped sunglasses and the leaves are shaped like bat wings.

I die cut the flower petals from pale purple cardstock, the skull from silver holographic cardstock and the stem and leaves from mottled green photo paper.

The background is black cardstock with a snowflake cutout pattern and white paisley pattern. Through the cutout pattern you can see the same pale purple cardstock as in the flower.

I heat embossed the sentiment in Distress Embossing Glaze in Wilted Violet and die cut it with a die from the Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month for September 2025, Stitched Pumpkin Tops.

11. Enter if You Dare

The die set for the eleventh day is very simple – one die for the base layer and one for the decorative layer of a haunted mansion. I created the base layer from cardstock sprayed with Distress Mica Spray, probably in the color Jack-o-Lantern. The top layer I die cut from a warm grey cardstock. For a bit more interest I popped up the decorative layer on thin foam from the Dollar Tree.

The background is an old background stamp by Brutus Monroe. I think it was called Pumpkin Patch. It’s stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in Coffee and then I ink blended over it with Pinkfresh Studio Ink in Clementine.

The kitty from Day 4 is running out from the flowers growing in front of the mansion. She’s black with silver holographic eyes.

The frame is a dark purple foil cardstock from Recollections Foil Cardstock Pack in Jewel Tones.

12. Treat-Filled

Die set number 12 contains 8 dies that create a bubbling cauldron with accessories. I created the cauldron out of black cardstock with an orange rim. For my bubbles I used photo paper with a mottled print and Accent Opaque with Distress Mica Spray in Holly Branch. I added Stickles in Lime Green to that when I was done with the card.

I used the witches legs to stir the brew and added Glossy Accents to the fabulous shoes. Then I decorated with some skulls and bones created from Accent Opaque and black cardstock.

The sentiment is heat embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze in Twisted Citron and cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Flower Cart Die Set.

13. To Die For

For the final day the die set contains 5 dies that create a coffin with a skull and crossbones and a hand gripping the edge of the lid. Very spooky!

I created the lid from cardstock sprayed with Distress Mica Spray, probably in the color Frosted Juniper. For the lining I used watercolor paper colored with a Villainous Potion Distress Watercolor Pencil. The bottom is grey cardstock.

The movement of the coffin lid, caused the silver holographic kitty with pale purple eyes to jump onto the sentiment. It’s heat embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze in Wilted Violet and cut out with a rectangle from Spellbinders Essential Shapes Die & Hot Foil Bundle.
