Kitty
My grey kitty is from Bibi Cameron’s Cheerful Kittens Die Set by Spellbinders. You can find an introduction to the die set in a previous post. This time I cut it out from Hammermill cardstock and ink blended it with the following Distress Oxide colors:
- Hickory Smoke
- Black Soot
- Bundled Sage
- Kitsch Flamingo
Backgrounds
I created the white background with the July 2025 Embossing Folder of the Month, Frosted Stitch.
For the colorful background, I started by ink blending Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides on a piece of pink cardstock. When it had dried, I foiled it using the July 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month with Pastel Pink Glimmer Hot Foil. I cut it down to 3 ¾ by 5″ and added thin foam to the back.
I also cut an arch from white vellum.

Sentiment
The sentiment I foiled with white Glimmer Hot Foil and the sentiment from this month’s BetterPress Kit. My base was more of the same pink cardstock that I had ink blended with Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves. I cut it out with the coordinating die (included).
Assembly
I started by gluing the white background directly to the front of my card base. Then I added glue to the thin foam on the back of the pink-to-purple background and centered it on the card front.
Next I glued my grey kitty directly to the center of the vellum arch and added the sentiment below her. I turned the vellum over and added foam tape behind the cat and the sentiment banner. Then I adhered the vellum panel to the center of the card front.
I finished up by adding Fashion Rose Color Essentials Pearl Dots (discontinued) and Berry Color Essentials Gems to the card. I’m loving these non-traditional holiday colors and who can resist a festive cat?
