Background

This background was a failed attempt at negative foiling of the You are Everything Sentiments BetterPress Set. As you can see it was in gold. When I ink blended over it with Distress Oxide Ancient Mariner and Tumbled Glass, the background partly resisted the ink. But as you can see, the sentiments accepted more ink.

I heat embossed the vintage letter press plate from the April 2025 BetterPress of the Month in Ranger Super Fine Gold. Then I dry embossed the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder Field Notes several times with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide.

Postage Outline

I created the white outline by using the postage stamp outline from the Spellbinders April 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month and heat embossing it with Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder in White. Then I ink blended inside and outside with more Ancient Mariner Distress Oxide.

Sentiment

The sentiment is also from the April BetterPress kit. I ink blended a piece of Hammermill with Ancient Mariner and foiled the sentiment in the same Glimmer gold foil as the failed negative foiling on the background.

Assembly

First I applied the postage stamp panel directly to my card base. Then I cut down the mixed media panel and backed it with Accent Opaque for stability. I added foam tape to the back and mounted it in the center of the blue card base.

I doubled up the cardstock behind my sentiment and popped it up on foam tape in the upper center of the card. Finally I scattered some Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems around the sentiment.
