Distress Watercolor Pencils 1
Spun Sugar to Fired Brick
When I got the new Distress Watercolor Pencils, I took them all out of their boxes and rearranged them according to the order on the Ranger web site. In this video I’m swatching the first box, from Spun Sugar to Fired Brick.
First I colored with pencil, then used a waterbrush to blend out and intensify the paint. When I was done, I compared them to my Distress Oxide swatches.
These watercolor pencils are really gouache pencils. In other words, they’re pigment pencils, not dye pencils. So Distress Oxides are closer to them, than Distress Inks. Just like Oxides, Distress Watercolor Pencils in pale colors contain a lot of white pigment.
