Birthday Wreath
I had plans to use the Kat Scrappiness Fall Garland Wreath Die for a card today. So when I read that this week’s Monday Challenge from Simon Says Stamp was Happy Birthday, I decided to create a birthday card.
Except for the berries, I cut everything out of colored cardstock at least twice. I also cut the wreath twice out of vellum. The berries I cut only once out of white glitter cardstock. I stacked the colored cardstock die cuts and inked the squat leaves before I glued everything onto the cardstock wreath. I added some more ink along the wreath to tie the colors together better. I added little snips of foam tape behind the leaves and berries wherever I could fit them.
I offset the two vellum wreaths and glued them together. Then I put glue on the vellum berries and dipped them in rosegold glitter from my stash.
I cut the second largest of the Cross Stitched Rectangle dies from pink cardstock. I cut some cardstock slightly smaller and stacked it behind the panel. Then I adhered it centered onto my card base.
Next I adhered the vellum wreaths to the center top. Taking care to not align them, I added the cardstock wreath on top. Using foam tape behind the cardstock wreath really heightened the impact of it.
I stamped the Simple Sentiments Stamp with Versamark onto the same color cardstock as the card panel. Then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut out all the sentiments with the coordinating die. To adhere the sentiment in the middle of the wreath I used double foam squares.
