Stitchmas: Day 9 – 12

Merry Giveaway Cards
I cut out the A2 Cover Die from an old background. The background was stamped with a Taylored Expressions background stamp and heat embossed in light blue.

California Santa
I want my Santa to sit at the bottom of an A2 card with the sentiment above him. It’s a pretty big sentiment, so it’s important to plan out my card.

Oval Holiday Shaker
I cut the oval base layer three times from red foil cardstock and once from clear acetate. Next I cut the oval frame three times from red glitter foam.

BetterPress First Impressions
But this blog post is mostly about taking the BetterPress for a spin. I own a number of plates already, because they foil fantastically well.

Stitchmas: Day 5 – 8
I cut the star background from Hammermill Cardstock and the segments from Recollections Gold Foil Cardstock.

Spellbinders Love on the Rocks
Today I’m participating in Spellbinders launch of the Love on the Rocks Collection. For this card I used the die set called Love on the Rocks and the press plate sentiments.

A Slimline Christmas
I had a dual purpose for these cards. I needed to create a card with an old kit or subscription for an Instagram hop and I needed sample cards for my next giveaway.

Stitchmas: Day 1 – 4
My plan was to create round ornaments with my stitched die cuts, using wooden coasters as my base. I started by painting the edges with gold paint.

November Pinkfresh Challenge: Floral Bauble
I heat embossed the images and sentiment in Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder. Then I used the layering stencils with the challenge colors.

November Pinkfresh Challenge: Holiday Gifts
I die cut and stenciled the faux envelope in Begonia. I arranged the presents and greenery coming out of the envelope more or less following the image on the packaging.

For my background I stenciled Holiday Foliage with Warm Buff, Doe and Lunar Paste in Cookie Dough.

Kat Scrappiness Vellum Snowflake Frame
I started out by stamping and heat embossing the foliage arrangement from the Christmas Add-On Stamp for the Holiday Lantern.

Sizzix Holiday Giveaway
As an aside, I know this folder is called Leaf Pattern, but I’ve always used it for holiday makes. The pattern looks like evergreen branches to me.

Reindeer Shaker Card
I’m still charmed by Simon Hurley’s Woodland Wildlife Stamp and Die Set. So for an Instagram challenge with a snow globe theme, I watercolored the reindeer from it.

Yeti Anniversary
I created a felt yeti with Rocky, the Dancin’ Yeti for his launch. But I also wanted to color him with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

On Day 3 of Online Card Classes So Very Merry, Jennifer McGuire showed us how to create Hanukkah cards.

Peach & Purple Mums
For these two cards, I foiled the flower in peach and purple. Then I added some ink blending with a pale blue dye ink centered on the flower.

The first teacher for Day 2 was Laura Bassen. She created eight cards, four that use a triangle as a stylized tree shape and four that use the negative.

This week I’m participating in OnlineCardClasses.com’s holiday class. It’s Monday through Saturday, so there will be a lot of cardmaking this week.

Snowdrop Shaker
The snowdrop plate is part of the January Set of Spellbinders Florals Through the Year Collection. So I created a snow-themed shaker card with it.

Chrysanthemum Cards
I associate chrysanthemums with cemeteries. So it was natural to use the Chrysanthemum Press Plates for sympathy cards.

Christmas Boutique
When I got this die set I felt kind of meh about it. But now that I’ve created a card with it, I think it’s super cute! It was fun to put together, too.

A Yeti Christmas
I’m now designing for Spellbinders. You know I love their products, so it’s a great fit for me!
