Abstract Thinking
Abstract Study creates a large-scale pattern that adds interest, without stealing the show. I can see using this one for many of embossing folder techniques.
-
Rosegold Birthday
Next I used the large cover plate from the May BetterPress Kit to make an impression on rosegold mirror cardstock. It’s called From A to Z.
-
Spring Days
This is the last card in this series of cards using the April BetterPress Kit, Post Edge Expression, and the Field Notes 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders.
-
Embossing Folder Friend
For the sentiment I used the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for August 2024. I like the chunky font and that it has shadow dies for all the words.
-
Sunset Peony Fantasy
There are six stencils in the Peony Fantasy Layering Stencils Set, but I want to use two different colors for stencil 1. Stencil 1 has openings for coloring the flower centers, as well as the lightest color on the leaves.
-
Watercolor Butterflies
I painted the butterflies with Chrome Orange (Schmincke) and Cinereous Blue (Sennelier) using flicking motions from the center of the butterflies to create movement and dimension.
-
Silver & Gold
The background includes three visible layers of cardstock. I felt that this card needed both gold and silver mattes.
-
Cowboy Quokka Mom
I still have lots of Kat Scrappiness Cowboy Quokka Ephemera left! This time I used a cowgirl as my focal point.
-
Blue Note
I dry embossed the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder Field Notes several times with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide.
-
Wonderful Postage
I created the white outline by using the postage stamp outline from the Spellbinders April 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month.
-
Adventure with Pooh Bear
I was trying to capture the feeling of being a kid looking forward to weeks of summer school holiday. All the possibilities!
-
Mixed Media Smile
First I placed the letter from the Spellbinders April 2025 BetterPress Kit of the Month in the top right corner, inked it up with Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail in Silver.
-
Jaycee’s Wild Joker
The Joker character has many faces, from the Batman movies to the kitschy Pierrot figurines of the 80s. The Spellbinders Wild Joker Die Set is rooted in playing card illustrations.
-
Sparkling Santa
This is the second time I’m using Sizzix Tim Holtz Santa Greetings Die Set. This time I went high contrast with it.
-
More Gorgeous You
First I popped the eye shadow palette up on foam tape at the bottom of the card. Then I aligned the mascara with it on the left and popped it up with more foam tape.
-
Flowering Tree Giveaway
I created these two cards for an Instagram giveaway. It ends on March 24, 2025. I’d love it if you would participate!
-
Zooming Birthday Bunnies
I would have given my right arm for a pink floral go kart when I was a little girl. The cute bunnies are the icing on the cake.
-
Creative House Mouse
The creative day sentiment and the cardmaking mouse are just perfect for my crafty giveaway cards!
-
Wedding Copperplate
In this card, the beautiful calligraphy by Paul Antonio takes center stage. I foiled the BetterPress Plate ‘On Your Wedding Day’ in pale blue.
-
Sending Copperplate Love
I actually gasped when I removed the foil from the background! Light blue foil on vellum in this gorgeous pattern is just stunningly beautiful.
-
Gorgeous You
This is such a fun, girly die set! It’s called Spellbinders Gorgeous You Makeup and it’s part of the Gorgeous You Collection.
-
Welcome Baby
I almost created a leaky shaker window. But I caught myself in time.
-
5 by 7 Giveaway
For the focal point of this 5-by-7 card, I used Lisa Horton’s Viola 3D Embossing Folder and Die.
-
Cowboy Birthday Quokkas
I’m loving Kat Scrappiness Cowboy Quokka Ephemera. It makes it so easy to create a cute card very quickly.
