I started out by studying the arrangement on the packaging. It uses one of each of the flowers and a couple of the smaller leaves. So that’s what I die cut from Hammermill cardstock.
Next I turned to the Color Catalog and looked at palettes under the keyword Spring. I settled on palette #41 and selected Ohuhu alcohol markers to mix and match. See the table below for the markers I selected. I colored most the flowers Salmon, Blood Orange and Sand and used the Mint and Teal tones for the leaves.
Then I die cut an extra layer from Accent Opaque Cardstock for the leaves and the base layer of the large flowers. I assembled and shaped the flowers.
Background
For the background I took an A2 panel of Hammermill cardstock and ink blended the center with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass. This just creates a bit of depth. I glued the panel to my white card base.
Next I die cut the second largest frame from the Stitching Die Set of the Month for November of 2024, Cross Stitch Nested Card Front from Hammermill and twice from Accent Opaque. I stacked my frames and adhered them to my card base with foam tape.
Assembly
Following the arrangement on the Vivid Blooms packaging, I glued down my flowers and leaves. I started with the leaves that overlapped the frame and worked my way toward the center. The big flower in the center sits on two stacked foam squares.
Once all the florals were in place, I added a sentiment foiled in Rose Gold with the You Are Everything Sentiment Press Plates and Die Set. I finished up by adding some glittering gems.
