The theme for this card was Something Never Opened. I chose to use my new Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors for this theme.
Ornaments & Foliage
First I stamped and heat embossed the large stamp from Pinkfresh Studio Ornaments & Foliage Product Suite in gold.
For the ornament decorations I used the following colors:
- Ballet Slipper
- Mint
- Soft Lilac
The background I colored with Sapphire. For the ornament toppers I used Lemon Whip and Espresso. For the foliage I used Mint and Sapphire with Ballet Slipper for the berries.
When I had watercolored all the stamped images, I cut them out with the coordinating die. I cut the die two more times from Accent Opaque. Then I stacked two layers behind the ornament cluster.
Background
For my background I also used the liquid watercolors, so it would match. I ink smooshed and brushed on colors until I felt that it had enough intensity, without stealing the limelight.
Then I cut it down with the Pinkfresh Studio Stitches Cover Die.

Frame
The frame is also new. It was a freebie that I got when I ordered the watercolors. The name is Gatsby Frame. I cut it once from Recollections Gold Foil Cardstock and twice from Accent Opaque 100 lbs. Then I stacked the layers. I also added strips of thin blue foam to the back of the stacked layers.
Assembly
First I glued the background to my white cardbase. Next I adhered the frame on top of it.
I added two layers of foam tape behind the ornament cluster and tucked the strings in under the top of the frame when I adhered it to the card.
For my sentiment I went to my mug of readymade sentiments. I found one that says Holiday Cheer that was created using the Spellbinders BetterPress Plate of the Month for July 2025, Festive Press. I glued it across the lower two ornaments and propped up the end with two layers of foam tape.
To decorate the scene, I tucked various foliage pieces under the sentiment, the frame and the ornaments. Finally I scattered some Pinkfresh Studio Ombre Glitter Drops Sparkle & Shine around the card.
