I created these cards for one of Amanda’s challenges. The theme was a set of 4 holiday cards. Last year I created cards with skates for this theme.
Reindeer
I started by stamping all the reindeer from Kat Scrappiness Reindeer Games Stamp Set on watercolor paper. I watercolored them with mostly earth tones. The pink is Winsor & Newton Potter’s Pink, which is new in my palette. Then I cut out the reindeer with the coordinating die set. I also cut them out of Accent Opaque and stacked them.
Background
I used the Kat Scrappiness Scene Builder Stencil to draw my snowdrifts with a pencil. Then I watercolored them. For the sky I used mainly Schmincke’s Cobalt Blue Imitation and for the snow mostly M. Graham’s Cerulean Blue.
When the four landscapes were dry, I cut them out with the middle die in the Kat Scrappiness Cross stitch Rectangle Die Set. I also cut another set from Accent Opaque and stacked them. The die cutting helped make the watercolor paper flat again.
Then I cut out the second largest of the Cross Stitch Rectangles from blue cardstock.

Sentiments
My sentiments are from Kat Scrappiness Reindeer Games Sentiments Stamp Set. I picked four of them and paired each with two reindeer. Then I stamped each sentiment on the sky portion of my snowy landscapes and heat embossed them with Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder in Gold.
Assembly
On each landscape I glued down the smaller reindeer and popped up the other reindeer in the foreground. Then I glued thin foam to the back of each landscape.
I glued the solid blue backgrounds to the front of my card base. Then I glued the reindeer landscapes on top of that. Finally I added Pink Sapphire and Blush Rhinestones around the deer and snowflakes around the sentiments.
