This is a pretty simple card, consisting only of two dark purple pieces of cardstock plus the sentiment and some sequins.
I started by foiling one of the lace borders from Spellbinders new Pressed Lace Border Press Plate Set. To create this moody look I went with Fuchsia Flower Glimmer Foil. Then I cut it out with one of the coordinating dies.
For the background I selected an A2-sized panel of the same dark purple cardstock and ink blended around the edges with Villainous Potion and Black Soot Distress Oxides. I kept it at A2 size and glued it to the front of my card base.
Next I ink blended with the same purple and black inks around three edges of my foiled panel. I added a piece of Accent Opaque behind it and popped it up on the background with some foam tape.
The sentiment is from my mug with positive and negative foiled sentiments from You Are Everything Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set. It’s foiled with the same Fuchsia Flower Glimmer Foil as the lace border. I added a layer of Accent Opaque behind it and popped it up on foam tape parallel to the lace.
Finally I added some purple sequins around the sentiment.
