Sending Copperplate Love

↓ Visual product list

This card is all about the beauty of foiling with elegant BetterPress plates. I foiled the Copperplate Sending Love and the March 2025 BetterPress Kit in Glimmer Skybright Foil. For the sentiment I did this on Hammermill cardstock. For the background pattern, I chose vellum.

Sentiments

I cut down the sentiment panel with one of the frames in the Cross Stitch Nested Card Front Die Set. Then I added some Accent Opaque to the back and foam tape behind that.

The subsentiment I BetterPressed with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass. It’s part of the March 2025 BetterPress Kit. It also includes a coordinating die. So that’s what I used to cut it out with. I glued the sentiment strip to the bottom of the sentiment panel.

Background

I actually gasped when I removed the foil from the background! Light blue foil on vellum in this gorgeous pattern is just stunningly beautiful.

I didn’t want to cover it up. So I just cut it down to 4″ by 5 ¼” and glued it to the front of my A2 notecard. I placed most of the glue behind where I was going to place the sentiment panel. But I also added tiny dabs of glue behind a few flower centers to ensure the vellum stays down.

Assembly

Once the vellum was secure on the card front, I added the sentiment panel near the top. Then I finished off the card with lots of Essential Pearl Dots in Oyster.
