Shaker
I started by creating the shaker. For this I used the two cauldron dies in the Kat Scrappiness Witches Brew Die Set. The background I cut from the lightest color in Kat Scrappiness Coffee Faux Glitter 6×6 Paper Pad and the foreground from the darkest color. I also used the background die to cut my acetate and the foreground die to cut two layers of Kraft cardstock. I sandwiched the acetate between the two Kraft layers and then added the dark cauldron frame die cut to the front. Then I placed a double layer of foam tape on the back.
I filled the shaker with Kat Scrappiness Pearl Glass Shaker Dots and some sequins from my stash. Then I adhered the background to the back of the shaker element.
Finally I added the bubbles. The background layer is cut from the middle tone in Kat Scrappiness Coffee Faux Glitter 6×6 Paper Pad and the foreground uses the lightest color. The foreground is popped up on one layer of foam tape.
Frame
For the frame I cut two pieces of Kraft cardstock and one piece of the middle tone from Kat Scrappiness Coffee Faux Glitter 6×6 Paper Pad with Kat Scrappiness Woodgrain Frame Die and stacked them.
Sentiment
My sentiment is Kat Scrappiness Happy Halloween Word Dies with Shadow. Just as with the cauldron, I cut the shadow layer from the lightest color in Kat Scrappiness Coffee Faux Glitter 6×6 Paper Pad and the word layer from the darkest. I stacked one layer of Kraft behind the shadow layer and two layers of Kraft behind the word layer. Then I glued them all together.
Decorations
The moon and bats are part of the aptly-named Kat Scrappiness Crafter’s Essentials Halloween Dies. I cut the moon from Kraft and the lightest color in Kat Scrappiness Coffee Faux Glitter 6×6 Paper Pad. The bats are the darkest color in that pad, plus Kraft of course.
Assembly
I started assembling my card by gluing the woodgrain frame to the Kraft card base. Then I glued down the shaker element in the center of the frame. Next I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the frame with two layers of foam tape. I added the moon in the top left corner on one layer of foam tape. Then I spread out the bats and finally I added a few sequins.
