This is a pretty straightforward watercolored critter card. For my palette I was inspired by Palette 176 in the Color Cube volume 1. If you’re looking for the Scavenger Hunt, my post is on Instagram.
I stamped the images from the Kat Scrappiness Everyday Quokka Stamp Set twice with brown archival ink. Then I watercolored them with my professional-grade watercolors. I watercolored one set of accessories in red tones and another in blue tones. When everything was dry, I cut it all out with the coordinating die set.
The quokka is meant to hold one of the accessories. To that purpose, I used a hobby knife to cut out the paws. Then I slid the red cake in between them.

Background
I heat-embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Kat Scrappiness Happy Day Stamp Set in gold on watercolor paper. I actually stamped the two words separately, so I could place them close together. Then I watercolored the background with the two blue tones in my palette. When it was dry I stabilized it by gluing it to a layer of heavy cardstock.
Next I cut out the Kat Scrappiness Woodgrain Frame Die from watercolor paper and colored it with the same colors as the background. I stabilized it with two layers of heavy cardstock. Then I used foam tape to adhere it to the background and glued the finished panel to my card base.
The quokka got two layers of foam tape behind it and I placed it in the center of the card, just above the sentiment. Then I glued the accessories to the frame, taking care to alternate between blue and red colors.
Finally I added some Glossy Accents to the quokka’s eyes, the cake icing and other details around the card.
