Waffle Flower Sneak Peek July

I got my Waffle Flower Sneak Peek kit and created a quick card with the stencils and dies.

The kit included Waffle Flower Retro Christmas Tree Die-n-Stencil. Apart from the tree mentioned in the name, it also includes a three-layer ornament stencil and a coordinating die. I used them with two tones of Pinkfresh Amalfi inks and silver heat embossing. Then I cut out the ornaments with the die.

For my background I used the same Pinkfresh inks and the two tree stencils to create an abstract pattern. I just moved the stencils around, turned them over etc until most of the background was colored. I also added some more ink around the edges, to pull the composition together.

I used foam tape to mount three rows of ornaments in a symmetrical pattern.

For the sentiment I used the Waffle Flower Oversized Happy Combo. It includes a very large “happy” with a shadow layer. I repeatedly dipped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with the same silver as I used on the ornaments. I felt that the sentiment could stand on its own, so I didn’t end up using the shadow layer this time.

The combo includes many sentiment stamps that go with “happy” and I used “HOLIDAYS” to match my holiday ornaments.

I applied some Trinity Stamps skinny foam strips to the central axis on the back of the sentiment. I also applied glue to the tops and bottoms of the letters. Then I placed it on top of the first and second row of ornaments. The sentiment strip got popped up on foam tape too.
